Terms of service
These Terms of Service apply to your use of chasingtailsstudio.com and any purchase you make from us. The store is operated by Stonecreek Stationery Inc., operating as Chasing Tails Studio ("we", "us", "our"). By placing an order or using the site, you agree to these terms.
1. Our products
Each portrait is a custom watercolor-style design created from the photo you provide, finished with your pet's name, and printed on cotton canvas. Portraits are prints; they are not hand-painted. Every portrait is designed individually, so the finished look depends on the photo supplied, and colors on your screen may differ slightly from the printed canvas. Product images on this site are examples.
2. Your photo and details
By uploading a photo, you confirm that you took it or have permission to use it. You keep ownership of your photo. You give us permission to use it, and the pet name you provide, only to create, print and deliver your order. We will not use your photo or your finished portrait in our marketing without your permission. Please don't upload photos that include people, or content that is offensive or infringes anyone else's rights; we may cancel and refund such orders.
3. Orders and pricing
All prices are in U.S. dollars. We may refuse or cancel an order, for example if a product was listed with an obvious pricing error or if we suspect fraud; if we cancel, you'll receive a full refund. Payment is processed securely at checkout through Shopify.
4. Corrections
You may correct your pet's name or send a different photo within 4 hours of placing your order by using our contact form. After that, your portrait may already be in production.
5. Shipping, duties and delivery
Shipping details, delivery estimates and information about import duties are set out in our Shipping Policy. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees.
6. Returns and problems with your order
Because every portrait is personalized, we don't accept returns for a change of mind. If your print arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, or is lost in transit, please see our Refund Policy for how we make it right.
7. Intellectual property
The content of this site, including text, graphics and example images, belongs to us or is used with permission, and may not be copied without our written consent.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
9. Privacy
How we handle your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by applicable law.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page at the time of your order applies to that order.
